Join us for a talk by North Shore historian and author of North Shore Long Island: Country Houses, 1890-1950 and Long Island’s Gold Coast, Paul J. Mateyunas.Travel back in time to the days of the Vanderbilts, Whitneys, and Astors to learn about the Long Island homes, parties, and real life personalities that inspired Edith Wharton, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and others who created countless novels, programs, and films about this interesting time in America. The talk will also delve into our Island’s latest series, HBO’s historical drama The Gilded Age.
