Photography Permits

A photography permit is required at the Nassau County Museum of Art if visitors meet two or more of the following conditions:

· The purpose of your visit is to use the NCMA as a backdrop for photography.

· There is a designated photographer within your party, either amateur or professional.

· The photography involves equipment and accessories, including lights, reflectors, camera lenses, and tripods.

· The photography involves props and makeup, including flowers, parasols, bags, or luggage that contain props and a makeup case.

· The photography involves a change of clothes in or out of any additional outfits other than a sweater, jacket, or coat to go over an existing outfit.

· The photography involves clothing for a special occasion or costumes, including matching outfits, tuxedos or suits, bridal gowns, formal attire, cocktail dresses, fur coats, bathing suits, carnival attire, or cosplay outfits.

NCMA staff reserve the right to determine when an individual or party meets the above requirements for purchasing a photography permit and may deny permissions if a permit is not available or acquired. In the event the above requirements are concealed upon entry and discovered later during the visit, the entire party will be asked to leave the NCMA premises.
