Frank Olt is the current Artist-in-Residence at the Nassau County Museum of Art. His studio is located in The Manes Art Education Center, where several of his works are on view. The first event held by Frank Olt will take place in November, 2026.
Glen Hansen is a former Artist-in-Residence at the Nassau County Museum of Art, but some of his paintings are on view in the museum’s current exhibition.
His paintings focus exclusively on architecture—stripped of people and narrative—exploring the quiet relationship between structure and sky. By isolating architectural details, Hansen creates hyperrealist works marked by extraordinary precision and craftsmanship, employing techniques rooted in the glazing and underpainting traditions of the Renaissance masters. His work is held in major public collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Springfield Museum of Art, and the Neuberger Museum of Art, as well as numerous corporate and private collections.
John Grande is a New York-based artist who reflects upon modern and contemporary culture with his constructed paintings, sculptures and murals while carefully utilizing techniques and traditions as far reaching those of Old Master painters, 19th-century artists to 20th century advertising and Pop Art. Grande was the first Artist-in-Residence to maintain an active studio at the Nassau County Museum of Art. From September 1 – December 31, 2025, Grande developed new works, engaged with visitors and students, and held multiple Open Studios and workshops at The Manes Art Education Center. Four of his pieces were featured in our past exhibition At Play: Artists & Entertainment.
