NCMA Members-Only Book Club
Time: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Among the many benefits of membership, all members are invited to exclusive exhibition preview hours on the opening weekends for all exhibitions.
See upcoming events below.
The Member Book Club is open to all museum members and meets three times per year. These gatherings provide opportunities to connect over shared interests in art, culture, history, and literature. The inaugural meeting, facilitated by Associate Curator Alex Maccaro, featured Fiona Davis’ novel The Magnolia Palace, set in the Gilded Age, Manhattan residence of Henry Clay Frick. Future meetings will continue to offer engaging, 90-minute discussions in a welcoming, social atmosphere. Details for the next session will be announced soon – check for upcoming member events below!
Members at the Supporting level and above enjoy exclusive access to exhibition preview parties, special programs and events, and unique cultural experiences designed just for our NCMA community.
Preview celebrations for each new exhibition are held prior to the public opening. These festive evenings bring together artists, curators, lenders, patrons, and museum leadership for a first look at our newest exhibitions. Evites are sent to eligible members.
The next VIP Preview celebration will take place on March 20, 2026, for four exhibition openings: 250 Years of Art on Long Island, Influence & Identity: Twentieth Century Portrait Photography from the Bank of America’s Collection, Profiles in Color: The Paintings of Andres Valencia, and National Pastime – The Baseball Show.
Throughout the year, Supporting-level Members and higher are invited to participate in exclusive trips, private tours, and special off-site experiences curated by the Museum. These opportunities provide private, behind-the-scenes access and enriching cultural excursions not available to the general public.
We look forward to welcoming you at our next Member event and thank you for being an essential part of the Nassau County Museum of Art community.
