Join Master Gardener and NCMA docent Terry Cavanagh for a special walk-through exploring the artistry and craftsmanship behind Louis Comfort Tiffany’s iconic lamps. Discover how Tiffany’s fascination with color and light led him to develop innovative approaches to glassmaking, and learn how flowers from the gardens of Laurelton Hall and beyond inspired some of his most celebrated designs. Through close looking, photographs, and a step-by-step exploration of the process, Terry will reveal how real flowers were transformed into intricate patterns, individually selected glass pieces, and ultimately luminous works of art.
