Join us for a an insightful talk with Paula Hornbostel, Director of the Lachaise Foundation. Hornbostel’s work is to advance the mission of the Foundation – to protect, promote and perpetuate the legacy of Lachaise for the public benefit.
From Paris to New York: the rise of Art Deco in the oeuvre of Gaston Lachaise. This talk will explore the development of this Modernist sculptor trained in Paris, from his time in the studio of Lalique to his years in America, decorating fine homes and reaching the scaffolding of such iconic deco buildings as Rockefeller Center.
