Paint on paper in your choice of any one, or any combination of the following: Oil, Acrylic, Ink, Gouache, or Watercolor.
This class will focus on the various techniques that can be used when painting on paper with different mediums, and/or when combining different mediums. We will also discuss various mediums that can be used on the surface of the paper such as gesso or colored gesso, and a variety of other mediums. Additionally we will talk about various options for matting and framing your work.
Materials are not provided so be sure to bring everything you need to paint in the medium(s) of your choice. As far as the paper is concerned, 100% cotton 140bl cold press is recommended. During the first class we will answer any questions you may have if you want to try a medium that you do not normally work in. But you will need to bring your supplies that you normally use to the first class.
This class is for the advanced beginner or intermediate through advanced student, therefore no materials list is provided since it is assumed you already have an understanding of the materials you work with now. Materials you are unfamiliar with but would like to try, can be discussed in the first class.
Reference images and/or still life set ups will be provided.
Pre-registration required for this class.
