Workshop with Oksana Danziger
All Levels welcome
Adults & Teens 16 +
Saturday, September 20
11:30 am–1:30 pm
Location: The Manes Art Education Center
Discover the process of Wet Felting, a sustainable fiber art technique that involves wool, warm water, and a bit of soap to create soft, sculptural forms.
Artist Oksana Danziger will guide you every step of the way as she also shares her inspiring vision behind Poetry of the Rocks—an ongoing art installation that celebrates nature, sustainability, and the beauty of handmade work. The project uses natural, locally sourced wool and plant-based dyes to create felted “rocks” joined together in a large-scale installation at the Manes Educational Center at the Nassau County Museum of Art.
Follow Oksana through step-by-step instructions to create stones that are lightweight, soft to the touch, and full of texture and
character. This is a great hands-on activity for beginners as no prior experience is needed. Just come ready to roll up your sleeves, get a little soapy, and enjoy the creative process!
All materials are included. Museum admission included. Join our 2 pm docent tour.
Pre-registration required.
