A beloved leader of today’s group of Peconic painters, Wendy Prellwitz uses the studio of her illustrious grandmother overlooking the bay, where she captures the glittering sunlight on the waves and the moonlight pouring through the window in a style that has its own distinctive Impressionist flavor. She shares some of her secrets, and looks back at a lively colony of forebears whose paintings of Long Island’s North Fork have taken their place in American art history.
