Internationally renowned painter Ben Schonzeit, a longtime favorite of the Museum, reflects on his greatest and largest work, which began as a Mother’s Day card and rapidly took on the bravura of a major installation. When it first appeared, it was the talk of SoHo. This exhibition marks the first time it has been seen in public in decades, a milestone in the history of the Museum.
