Summer Art Lab 2021 Week 1: Art History Adventures – Past to Present

Monday, July 12, 2021, 9:00 am to Friday, July 16, 2021, 11:00 am

For children entering kindergarten Fall 2021 through age 10
At The Manes Education Center

Join us this summer for a unique blend of indoor and outdoor creative adventures! Our popular Summer Art Lab program has been redesigned to be explored in 4 themed week-long sessions. Using current exhibitions at the Nassau Museum, outdoor sculptures located on our 145 acre nature preserve, and contemporary artists as inspiration, Art Lab’s young artists immerse themselves in art making and experimenting. With the chance for exploring the fresh air of our forests and trails paired with devoted studio time in our Manes Education Center, Art Lab artists will create unique works of art in a memorable summer experience.

Our educator Katie makes sure to adapt experiences based on age and encourages students to explore a variety of new materials, techniques and processes to challenge and engage. Students and families can choose how many weeks they wish to sign up for.

Enrollment is limited to 10 students per session and pre-registration is required.
Each session runs Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 12 pm.

$325 per week – non-members
$275 per week for Dual/Family members. Discount applied at checkout

Following NYS and CDC guidelines for the safest creative environment this summer:

  • Masks or face coverings worn by all staff, campers, and visitors at all times
  • Reduced enrollment ( 10 children per week)
  • Social distancing and minimal exposure to public areas; students only visit galleries while they are closed to the public
  • Each camper receives their own art material kit to avoid sharing supplies
