This class explores the power of drawing as a form of emotional and visual expression. Using charcoal, charcoal pencil, pan pastel, and graphite, students will learn to loosen their technique, capture movement, and express mood through dynamic mark-making. Through a series of structured exercises, participants will experiment with gesture drawing, tonal composition, and contrast to bring energy and feeling into their work.

An emphasis is placed on freedom, spontaneity, and personal interpretation rather than strict realism. Ideal for students who want to expand their expressive range and discover new possibilities in drawing.

Pre-registration is required for this on-site class.

Participants must have materials for the first day of class. Scroll down for list.
