Urban Art Evolution: Gallery Tour with Guest Curator, Christopher Pusey

Sunday, May 5, 3 pm

Free with admission

Join us for an exhibition tour of his show Urban Art Evolution with curator, art collector, and gallerist Christopher Pusey. A Long Island native, Pusey began art-making as a child and graduated from Stony Brook University with a degree in Printmaking and Studio Art. He went on to pursue a career working in art galleries, and as an art dealer, in New York City.  His particular interest in the art from this time and genre began with his first job at a gallery in SoHo during the 80s, which had a division specializing in some of the East Village artists featured in this show. In 2010, he opened the Dorian Grey Gallery, located in the East Village on 9th Street, with an objective of showing many of the true pioneers of the late 1970s/early 1980s art scene.
