Workshop with Oksana Danziger
All Levels welcome
Adults & Teens 16 +
Saturday, September 20
11:30 am–1:30 pm
Location: The Manes Art Education Center
Discover the process of Wet Felting, a sustainable fiber art technique that involves wool, warm water, and a bit of soap to create soft, sculptural forms.
Artist Oksana Danziger will guide you every step of the way as she also shares her inspiring vision behind Poetry of the Rocks—an art installation that celebrates nature, sustainability, and the beauty of handmade work. The artist creates and assembles sculpted depictions of stones with locally sourced wool and plant-based dyes in a large-scale installation on view at The Manes Art Education Center at Nassau County Museum of Art beginning this September, 2025.
Follow Oksana as she guides participants through step-by-step instructions to create felted stones that are lightweight, soft to the touch, and full of texture and character. This is a great hands-on activity for beginners as no prior experience is needed. Just come ready to roll up your sleeves, get a little soapy, and enjoy the creative process!
All materials are included.
