Exploring Works on Paper

Art Class with Jim Minet 

Location: The Manes Art Education Center  

Intermediate to advanced levels. Some drawing experience encouraged.
Adults and Teens 16+ 

Thursdays, 1 pm – 3:30 pm 

Summer Session (6 weeks):  July 10, 17, 24, 31, August 7, 14 

$300 non-members | $270 members

Move off the canvas and onto paper in your choice of any one, or any combination of mediums including oil, acrylic, ink, gouache, or watercolor. Discover and apply various techniques for painting on paper in the paint medium or combination of materials of your choice. Explore surface materials such as gesso or colored gesso, and other similar surface preparation techniques. Learn various options for matting and framing your work.

This class is for intermediate to advanced painters. Please bring all of your painting materials for the first day of class, along with 100% cotton 140 lb. cold press paper. For those looking to try a new medium, alternate paint materials will be discussed on teh first day.

 

Pre-registration required for this class. 

Participants must have all materials for the first day of class.
